About the Founder
When Jalyn Ely Girardot was in middle school, she decided she was going to be a writer. After a few Google searches about how to do that, she determined that the best way to get someone to publish her novel was to get a lot of followers on social media. Four websites, two abandoned Twitter accounts, and hundreds of hours of research later, she had a stack of publisher rejection letters and a solid understanding of online marketing.
In 2011, Jalyn started her first business and discovered that online marketing was useful for more than trying to get a book published. She eventually sold that business and spent several more years in corporate marketing jobs, often as the only person in the marketing team, doing everything from designing websites to search engine marketing to running entire marketing campaigns. Her efforts grew one company’s Instagram following by 850%, brought over 50,000 views to a single article, and started and managed nine different blogs (luckily not all at the same time).
Any time she mentioned she worked in digital marketing, someone would talk about how they needed a new website, or they weren’t sure how to get their business on social media, or they weren’t entirely sure if online advertising was a good plan and they wished they had someone to give them advice. Jalyn realized that she was completely qualified to help people navigate the complexities of online marketing.
