Ely Social, LLC was founded by Jalyn Ely in 2015 under the name Jalyn Ely Consulting. Though small initially, Jalyn soon found that consulting was more rewarding than her corporate job. The personal touch and the ability to help more people and businesses master social media was more appealing than working for the bottom line of a single company.

As her client list slowly expanded, Jalyn began to see a need for more than what she was currently offering. Her consulting model had focused on collaboration and coaching, teaching clients to manage their own social media so eventually they wouldn’t have to hire her anymore. But she soon realized that people also wanted done-for-you solutions that freed them up to work on other aspects of their business. In 2017, she began offering packages of done-for-you services to better meet clients’ needs.

In 2018, Jalyn rebranded Jalyn Ely Consulting as Ely Social and began to work on growing the company. She is excited about helping people meet their social media needs and make social media work for them, whether that looks like collaboration and coaching, a done-for-you package, or a completely custom solution tailored to your needs.

Jalyn Ely is the founder and a consultant with Ely Social. She has been interested in social media marketing since 2011, when she started her first business in Michigan. She eventually left that business and moved to Indiana to study media communication at Purdue University and began a foray into the corporate world. She launched Jalyn Ely Consulting, which would eventually become Ely Social, in 2015.

Jalyn has seven years of practical social media marketing experience from the corporate world, as well as three years of social media consulting experience. In addition to a Bachelor’s degree in media communication from Purdue University, she has earned the Hootsuite Social for Business certificate and an SEO certification from the eMarketing Institute. She also published Social Media for Real Estate Agents: The Complete Guide to Getting Started with Social Media Marketing in February 2018.
